Hey everybody!  we have selected the next single and will either be releasing it to the Texas Charts or to the Americana Charts as soon  as I can get the artwork and text all ready for the printers.  The complete CD will also be available very soon with all 14 tracks as soon as it's finished being mastered in Nashville.  As you probably saw on the home page, we have some dates slowly trickling in and expect to be busy before we know it.

I am having one rough time finding a booking agent that has the resources to book me in the lower 48 States plus Canada and Europe AND keep me busy.  I have contacted my longtime friend Bill Quisenberry from Talent Group Intercontinental in  Nashville about taking me on.  Bill has all the resources needed and is a great guy.  When I was employed by Tim McGraw, Bill was Tim's personal manager  at the time.  He also just dropped his exclusive relationship booking David Alan Coe after a 15 year run so lets all keep our fingers crossed that Bill comes on board.  See ya, WC

Hey everyone, we are still searching for just the right booking agent to work for us.  My new kick ass T-Shirts with both a front and back print will be available next week here on the website as well as at all of our shows.  The long awaited WC Edgar self penned CD "The Alcohol of Fame"  will be ready in 3 weeks also for sale here and at the shows but the official release will be in January 2008.  I have already done more in the past 60 days by myself than my former management team did in a year sitting on their hands and giving me nothing but broken promises.  That just goes to show you that when it has to be done right, do it yourself.  More later,  W

Watch for the release on this website of my new 14 Track self penned CD in the next few weeks.  Also, watch for my new single release of "Texas Rain" to the Texas Music Charts the first part of January 2008.

  After careful consideration we have decided to base the band out of Nashville. From now on I will only use players from Nashville, folks  that have made the sacrifice to their friends and families and moved to Music City to play music on a full time basis and players that believe in what I am trying to achieve by writing all of my own music while at the same time keeping "REAL" Country Music alive. For all of my  Texas fans, my next single "Texas Rain" will ship to Texas Radio the first week of January and we will provide everyone here with a database of contact numbers for all the stations in your areas so you can keep the DJ's spinning it.  The same week we are releasing my new Complete CD "Alcohol Of Fame" to the Americana Charts in Complete CD format.  So till next time, Keep the faith!  WC

Well it looks like me and the boys are headed back up to Hicktown in Schofield Wisconsin for two action packed shows on December 21-22.  We'll fly on this trip instead of driving so ya'all stop on by and see us.  WC

Got back from Hicktown in Wisconsin Christmas Eve.  The airport was closed where I flew out of the day before I got out.  When I got to Minneapolis I almost missed my connecting flight because we were held up in line on the runway to get a gate because that airport had cancelled a bunch of flights the day before also and was trying to catch up.  Then I  had to run to the next departing gate with my Martin Guitar in hand and got there just as they were boarding.  Had the usual GREAT time at Hicktown with the gang and will see them again.  They invited me to their Christmas Party for the Club on Sunday and we all shared in the Great food, drink and I kicked some ass on the pool table as usual and really enjoyed the party and all the GREAT gifts they gave me.  Not a nicer bunch of folks in the business than that Hicktown bunch.  Also had a live in person radio interview with the fine folks at WYTE Radio I believe it was and did a nice on air interview where they played two or three songs. The band was awesome and a really great bunch of pro players whom I hope to see again sometime.   More to come later, I'm still beat.  Merry Christmas to ya'all!

Hey ya'all, from the response my Radio Promotion people are getting, our new single "Texas Rain" may be a big song this year on the Texas Music Charts so keep your fingers crossed and keep calling the stations in your areas of Texas that have it.  I am heading "Down Under" to Australia at the end of May for about 13 days of fun and honky tonkin playing some of the best places the country has to offer and I owe it all to my friend Clifton Burnett from Melbourne.  I look foward to the trip and meeting all the fine people in that country that share our love of Traditional Country Music.  Even if they do drive on the wrong side of the road. Ha!

Hey everyone, just got back from Iowa City Iowa my old hometown where Savannah and I went for the Iowa/Illinois basketball game.  We had a great time, saw some friends and ate some really good food.  Some more dates have been coming in for the Australia Tour and I'll post them soon on the Tour Dates Page.  Also I am getting more dates in Kansas and will be staying pretty busy until the Australia trip.  We are expecting the new single "Texas Rain" to pop into the Texas Chart at any time and then we will be setting up our big Texas Music Tour with my great new band so stay tuned!

The once famed Grand Old Opry is Dead!
All of the players and singers and entertainers that made the Opry what it was in its heyday have either passed away or have been fired by the present Opry management.  What the hell is wrong with this picture?  Even the great "Stonewall Jackson" has been fired from his Opry spot.  All that remains is a bunch of "Pop" singers that don't carry a fiddle or a steel guitar and wouldn't know "Real" Country Music if it bit them in the ass!  I for one find this completly unacceptable and will vow to never give in to this new brand of "fratdaddy gutless pointless american idol"  country music.  Nashville Tennessee will always be remembered for being the home of the (once famed) once Grand Old Opry and not for being the home of the Tennessee Titans NFL Football team no matter what Ed Gaylord says. We need to start by getting rid of the current Opry manager and then the following:
1.First and foremost:Reinstate Hank Williams Sr. to the Opry
2.Hire Hank Williams III
3.Sign Daryle Singletary and more Country Music singers like him, Dale Watson & myself.  Next we need to move the once Grand Old Opry BACK TO THE RYMAN!  Then we won't allow any COUNTRY BANDS on stage unless they carry a Steel Guitar & Country Fiddle in the band.  That's a good start, more later

Just returned from my first tour of Australia and had a blast. 
I played shows in both Melbourne and Sydney and met a lot of
very nice folks.  Check out the "Tour Dates" page for pics.

On the return trip I had been awake for 56 hours more or less just catching a quick 
catnap betweek noding off here and there and finding myself dozing off in different airports.  
Needless to say when I finially got home I was beat and slept for 16 hours and still I'm not back
to normal.  More later

Finally home after a long long night.  Great news this week! I got a new booking agent 
and he already has contracts on two opening act concert shows.   I look for great things to come from the new agency and you can contact them on the "Contact" page.  WC

The Booking Agents are working their tails off and we have picked up
dates into 2009.  Looks like there is a really good chance that WC and the band 
will be pickin in Vegas during National Finals Week this year.  Got a call when I got home from Indy last night and they want to bring me back to Australia for another tour!
I also have another tour in the works for the first part of 2009 that includes France as well as some stops in other European Countries so stay tuned!
